Form DWC 250 is Florida Division of Workers’ Compensation form fully named a Notice of Election to Be Exempt. The exemption can be claimed only by corporate officers or members of an LLC (limited liability company) engaged in the construction industry by submitting fillable form DWC 250. Non-construction LLC members may not request an exemption as they are eligible for it.
If a corporation officer has elected and claimed to be exempt, they cannot recover workers’ compensation benefits.

Upon this period’s expiration, the DWC shall: a. Issue a Certificate of Election to be Exempt b. Send a notification about the incompletion of the application and or/ documents attached c. Reject the application in case, an LLC member already has an exemption, they should submit the application for renewal in 45 days before their current exemption expires.
